Everyday operations in all company departments (administrative operations, corporate and project document controlling, contracts management etc.)

Current challenges:

Skanska employees are overwhelmed with repetitive tasks. Most of communication within Skanska is done via MS Outlook. The important Document Registries (Correspondence Tracker, Contracts Tracker, Corporate Register etc.) are issued manually and don’t have the minimum metadata for a good image of Corporate or Projects deliverables. The Approval workflows are not fully defined and a part of it are issued by email, on MS Outlook.

Expected outcome:

Solution that will automate the most repetitive and easy to automate tasks in everyday support functions operations. Allow people to focus on processes that bring value to the company. We want to develop a next-generation intelligent information management platform that improves business performance by helping people find and use information more and unify systems, data and content across the organization in one place.

Expected impact:

Time savings of white-collar workers on repetitive tasks; reduce physical storage and lower costs; green business practice by saving paper; improved way of working

KPI measured/success factor:

Lean processes; more time dedicated to core business; better document registry management; improve document security.

Proptech Romania is organizing a dedicated proptech hackathon for Skanska Romania, with the
purpose to identify innovative solutions concepts, which will offer a competitive advantage to
the sales team in the onboarding processes of potential clients and to positioning Skanska as an
innovative company on niche development of office buildings. It is also desired to design
an action plan for the next 12 months to create opportunities for integrating the winning
solutions into current Skanska processes.

Applications are approved based on interest in real estate and demonstrated ability to contribute meaningfully to any challenge. Applications from any corner of the globe will be accepted.  PLEASE NOTE that non-developers with business experience are welcome to apply as well. Each team will consist of 2-5 individuals with diverse skill sets. Established teams are welcome to register.
